Buffalo Boys 'Indonesian Western'
have you ever imagined western movies or 'cowboys' themes with a backdrop in the Dutch colonial era? To answer it, Screenplay Infinite Films, Zhao Wei and Bert Pictures have released the Buffalo Boys film directed by Mike Wiluan, which will provide such a unique sensation.
The film starts with a California background in 1860. At that time, Jamar (Ario Bayu) who became a train carriage fighter and managed to win the game had to quarrel with the owner of the train who did not accept the bet lost. It ultimately led to a misunderstanding that made their uncle, Arana (Tio Pakusadewo) to receive gunshot wounds in his stomach.
The first part of the story is the setting in which Arana and her two nephews, Jamar and her sister, Suwo (Yoshi Sudarso), overseas, to avoid the cruelty of Van Trach (Reinout Bussemaker) who heads the VOC in their home village. Until finally the three men had to return to the land of Java six months later in order to avenge Van Trach for the killing of their father.
