Zidane Closes to Juventus

Zidane Closes to Juventus

A surprising news came from Zinedine Zidane. He is reportedly going to get a role at Juventus. Not as a coach to replace Massimiliano Allegri. However, he will take on the role of assistant sporting director in October 2018, according to a Spanish journalist.

The Frenchman is currently unemployed after leaving his position as coach at Real Madrid. He left the Santiago Bernabeu after delivering the Los Blancos to the Champions League three times in a row.

There has been speculation in the media so far that he will coach Qatar in the 2022 World Cup, while the job of coaching France seems impossible after Didier Deschamps leads Les Bleus to the World Cup.

Now Libertad Digital, quoting journalist Juanma Rodriguez, reported that Zizou will take on the role of Juventus management staff. The media claims Zidane will work with sporting director Fabio Paratici.

Rodriguez later explained on his Twitter that the source was "someone very close to the Agnelli family" and that Zidane would not take that role until October to avoid pouring salt into Madrid's wounds after Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Juve.

Juventus is not a new club for Zizou. He has played more than 200 games for The Old Lady, won two Scudetto and was awarded the Ballon d'Or in 1998.
