have you ever imagined western movies or 'cowboys' themes with a backdrop in the Dutch colonial era? To answer it, Screenplay Infinite Films, Zhao Wei and Bert Pictures have released the Buffalo Boys film directed by Mike Wiluan, which will provide such a unique sensation.
The film starts with a California background in 1860. At that time, Jamar (Ario Bayu) who became a train carriage fighter and managed to win the game had to quarrel with the owner of the train who did not accept the bet lost. It ultimately led to a misunderstanding that made their uncle, Arana (Tio Pakusadewo) to receive gunshot wounds in his stomach.
The first part of the story is the setting in which Arana and her two nephews, Jamar and her sister, Suwo (Yoshi Sudarso), overseas, to avoid the cruelty of Van Trach (Reinout Bussemaker) who heads the VOC in their home village. Until finally the three men had to return to the land of Java six months later in order to avenge Van Trach for the killing of their father.
Nevertheless, Jamar and Suwo's revenge of his father's death, Sultan Hamza was forced to meet his dynamics when Suwo and Kiona were captured and hostage to Van Trach. Conflict became increasingly a time when Seruni (Happy Salma) who is the wife of Arana and presumed dead before, is still alive by surviving into Van Trach's mistress who often tortured him.
Until finally, Arana with Seruni dead and could make Jamar and Suwo disagree. And the continuation of their goal to get revenge on Van Trach, can be seen in the theater of the country soon.
Conan Stevens, the giant actor in the popular Game of Thrones TV series as Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane in the first season, came to Indonesia to celebrate the premiere of Buffalo Boys, an adventure drama movie in the late 18th century in Java during the Dutch colonial era. Conan appeared as a fighter against the Buffalo Boys at the beginning of the film.
Born in Australia, Conan is a famous actor, writer and stuntman and has worked with world-class actors and directors such as Dolph Lundgren, Tony Jaa and Peter Jackson. In addition to Game of Thrones, he participated in a number of international co-productions in Asia.
