Clash In Nicaragua Continues, 10 People Killed
POLICE and the Nicaraguan paramilitary group killed at least 10 people in clashes with protesters on Sunday (15/7). This was conveyed by the human rights association yesterday. According to the agency, the death toll from clashes in the Central American country continues to rise.
The deaths fell after government troops attacked the Monimbo and Masaya groups, about 25 kilometers southeast of the capital, Managua.
In previous clashes on Sunday (8/7), government troops attacked the protesters who caused 14 people dead. According to local human rights groups, the number has extended the list of hundreds of people killed since the riots erupted in April.
Known, the riots led to a row between protesters in the Central American nation and the government. The protesters demanded the resignation of President Daniel Ortega and made a barricade on the streets of Diriamba and Jinotepe areas, 20 kilometers from the opposition Masaya stronghold.
According to a video recorded by citizens and uploaded on social media, a group of heavily armed men dressed in civilian and hooded black looks in the area. They then destroy the opposition barricades and enter the city with police forces.
